Lived here for one year, this apartment complex is expensive, but if you use the amenities, then its worth it... I see a lot of negative reviews, not saying that this place is great (my previous stay at a Summit was better), but some of those reviews were just bitter people.
First off, it's brand new, so that's nice. Haven't had any major problems with anything, any minor problems I had were fixed promptly. Maintenence service is good.
High turnover in the office, but that's expectable for most apartment complexes I guess. Usually the people down there are fairly nice - not the brightest folk though.
Walls aren't bad, but floors ARE THIN! Can hear everything above and below me. The nice tile that you see in the bathroom, kitchen, and hallway floor, make a TON of noise to the people below. I can hear everything that goes on in the bathroom above me. And below me, I can hear any music through the floor. If there's a party goin on, f'gettaboutit. So not only do I have noise above me, but also below me.... I must say though, the noise has drastically reduced from when I first moved in, at first, there were parties all the time and they even had some in the "club room" that kept me up half the night. The bass will vibrate the walls of every unit within a 100 yard radius.
Gates are down half the time, but I don't know one apartment complex that has reliable gates. Plus every idiot driver smashes into them anyways, can't blame the apartments for that...
They ring you in with how nice the place looks and the ameneties, which are very nice. The only problem is, I don't use them, either I don't have time, I don't need those things (I have a big screen tv and a nice computer)or whatever, but I don't. I don't eat the meals, never use the movie room, no need for e-commerce center, etc. But if you like to workout (weight room is great), play tennis, have a dog to play with in the park area, want to use the movie room, e-commerce room, etc. They are all VERY NICE.
Couple things I will miss if I go somewhere else: Garbage chute (I love that thing) and the parking garage. Although the garbage chute is only in the main building (I think) and it usually is overfull on Sundays (don't think any staff empty it that day) and the garage is only on certain buildings.
Biggest gripe: They try to drip every dollar from you, even by having "reserved" parking spots for $20/month. Hello, I think they are getting enough money out of me already and then they reserve all of the good spots in the garage... I think only 3 out of 10 spots by our door are actually reserved and paid for.
Overall: Nice (not great) place, noisy sometimes, very pricey, great area.
My lease is up soon, looking at other places, but will consider leasing here again only if I get a better deal and a shorter lease term than the 14 months they try to push. I've already seen a bunch of people move out (it's only been here for a year now)I think most people end up not renewing....
btw, what is up with their marketing, all those billboards and signs with the "SUPER" happy people''
