They steam clean the berber carpets the DAY BEFORE you move in. The carpet was wet when we moved in.
The leasing consultant didnt know what she was doing, the management tried to sheist out of the security deposit. Needless to say, we quickly got out of our lease before any other problems could arise.
Management is down right shady. Saying one thing and then doing the other. Id beware if I was you.

Almost all communities clean the carpets the day before move-in, so that it is freshly cleaned and it should be the last step of preparing the apartment for move-in. That is standard. Also, it is standard in the industry that if you cancel after 72 hours of leasing, your deposit is forfeited. That is standard business practice --- not shadiness. Sorry you didn't move in to get a real experience, because myself and most residents are very happy with the property and the management staff. I formerly worked in apartment management and my standards are very high. I happen to think that the entire team does an excellent job, especially to constantly be attacked by overly critical people.

Thats fine that they clean the carpets 72hrs prior actual move-in, but if the carpet is still wet on MOVE-IN DAY that is NOT ACCEPTABLE! I have lived in many apartments in my day and never have i moved into an apartment where the carpet is wet(read WET. not barely damp. WET). If you cannot understand the problem with wet carpet upon moving in then I dare not waste any more time debating this with you.
