At Estates of Dunwoody, It is all about isolation, not location

I moved into the complex and after only two months, I was definitely ready to leave.
While the location is near the perimeter, it isn't near anything else. There aren't any restaurants, bars, or shopping within walking distance. There aren't even suitable sidewalks for walking throughout the neighborhood (If you could call it a neighborhood).
We found the price to be on the high end, considering the location.
The price would be within reason if it were located in more 'hip' places like Buckhead or Midtown, which offer an array of shops, restaurants, museums, etc... Lifestyle. But why would one want to pay for a sub-par location'
The actual apartment was spacious, nice, and clean. A major complaint I had were that there were only 2 windows in the whole apartment, and they were both located in the bedroom. The living room did have nice french doors that opened up onto a patio, but one could not leave them open on a cool evening due to the fact that there were no screens to create a barrier between me and the hordes of ghastly insects trying to make their way inside.
I found the landscaping and pool area to be aesthetically pleasing. There was a nice winding path that ran on the backside of the complex. Perfect for taking a dog on a very short walk. Also perfect for taking a dog outside to 'do the doodoo,' if you know what I mean. This was a problem at the complex. Many residents have dogs and unfortunately, the grounds smelled indescribably horrid on many occassions.
The gates were always annoying... Sometimes they didn't even work, and when they did, they took an eternity to open.
The pool closed at 10pm, which was a bummer for people who like to swim at night.
Oh yes! I almost forgot. The place is SURROUNDED by tall black fences. There is only one way in and one way out, very prison-esque. There was a small wooded area behind the parking structure that would have been nice to explore, but instead I only explored it with my eyes like an animal in a zoo explores life outside its' cage. I felt like I was being acclimated to living in prison by first living at Estates of Dunwoody.
When we contacted the management to consider our options on moving out, they were much less than friendly and helpful. I could easily call them rude.
They said they made harsh terms on breaking the lease to discourage people from moving out early. Hmm... So maybe they have a problem keeping tennants' Maybe they should work on their product if it is not fullfilling the needs of the customer, and quit blaming the customer for being unhappy.
This place would probably be a suitable fit for un-social people who like to do nothing but veg in front of a TV and drive everywhere.
Instead of location, location, location... The slogan for Estates of Dunwoody could be something like: isolation, isolation, isolation.
