The same family who built the complex still owns it--they and their carelessly selected managers have shown very poor judgment in running the place. There used to be a swimming pool in front of the office--when it was operational, the owners could not be bothered to drain or cover it after the summer season. The water surface was covered with leaves, and a child playing around the pool fell in and drowned before help could arrive; no one nearby could see anything going on under all the leaves. The owners were sued by the child's family. Sounds a little more like negligence on the part of the child's parents & less on the part of the property owners. It's terrible that anyone died, but children need supervision.

Your response would not be so callous if it had been your child whose death could have been prevented. Is it so hard to pull the drain plug or put a cover on the pool after the summer season? Pools require responsibility!
