WATER BILL INCREASES RENT BY $100/MONTH

They lie to you when you sign your lease saying that the Water Bills are around $20-$30. But my first bill was $90 and I had only been there for half a month. I have friends/colleagues in the Atlanta area who pay $10-$20 a month and they live in homes that have 2-4 people using the water...only one person lives in my apartment and I am paying 3 times that amount. I complained to the leasing manager Sandra who is pleasently fake and all she could say was that the cost of water is increasing. There is a meter in the apartments to create the illusion that your water consumption is being monitored but rest assured it is not. The company they use, ISTA, a submetering company, has a horrible reputation for overcharging apartment residents. So my advice is dont be fooled by the moderately proced rent. THEY GET IT ALL BACK BY CHARGING AN EXORBITANT PRICE FOR WATER. SO MY $825 ONE BEDROOM IS ACTUALLY COSTING ME $915.
