Lived here for 3.5 years. The apartments are spacious, but the buildings are in disrepair.
They are very slow to respond to any repairs, and most of the appliances and carpeting are very old.
The buildings are very old, so on weekends you will hear LOTS of noise. Also, the property is in DIRE need of powerwashing. There are bugs EVERYWHERE.
Parking is ample, but it is poorly lit and there are old, broken down cars all over the property. Management makes no effort to remove these.
If you do decide to live here - make sure you complete a move-in form in GREAT DETAIL. Also, when you move out, get pictures and have them complete a walk through. I got stuck with a RIDICULOUS bill because they told me it hadnt been cleaned. I had no proof, so I am stuck dealing with that now. Read all documents carefully. There are many fees and things they fail to inform you about if you have issues with termination of a lease, a move-out sheet, and if you do not pay your rent on day 1 or 2 of the month.
Most apartment complexes give you until the 5th before it is late, but these guys charge you on the 3rd day (even if it is on a weekend or holiday) and it is 25% fee (of your rent amount) on the 4th, and higher on the 5th and 6th.
The property was recently sold and the new management staff (Pinnacle Properties)is AWFUL. They are extremely rude, not helpful at all and it takes an act of Congress to get anything you need processed. Before the change in management, when it was owned by REEF, it was much better. The Pinnacle People came in and fired all the PLEASANT people and brought in unhelpful, unprofessional people who run the office. Any time you call with a problem for the managers they are always unavailable and they will NOT call you back
This is also true for the corporate office in FL. (Pinnacle) My ADVICE-STAY AWAY FROM ANY PINNACLE PROPERTIES!
This community is also changing. There have been numerous thefts and the clientele is becoming more "urban".
There is an old adage that states "you get what you pay for" keep that in mind as you look to rent in this property. There is a reason these apartments are so affordable.
I spent 3.5 years here, but I wouldnt consider coming back for a second, and I would not recommend it to anyone I know.
