HORRIBLE Experience!

FCM was a HORRIBLE experience.

There was always dog poop in our hallway.

It was unbearably noisy. Our neighbors couldn't even hear us when we would knock on their door to ask them to turn down their music.

The parking lots were always completely full, and the guards constantly let people through the gates who did not live there or have permission to enter.

The leasing office LOST OUR RENT TWO TIMES. One time, I called to ask why our check hadn't cleared, and they said it would clear soon and that if something had gone wrong we would have received a letter. Then, a week later, we got an EVICTION NOTICE! We never did find out what had happened to our original rent check. The next time, they called us to say that they hadn't received our rent, so we wrote them another check. Then they deposited BOTH of our rent checks (including the supposedly "missing" one) and double-charged us for rent. When I asked for a refund, they told me that they would just credit me for the next month's rent. They were totally unconcerned that they had just completely screwed up.

It took FOUR MONTHS to get them to fix our broken dishwasher. We even got a maintainance follow-up call; they asked if the dishwasher had been fixed. I said no, it was still broken. The agent responded "well, great! I'm glad it's fixed!" He was so busy chatting to his friends in the office that he didn't even hear what I said!

Our walls leaked every time it rained, and one of our rugs was ruined.

I went into the leasing office to pay rent one day, and a staff members hand was wrapped in bloody gauze and they were eating a hot dog off the end of a plastic fork and chatting on their cell phone about their ex. 'Nuff said.

We finally gave 60 days notice that we would be moving early. When we moved out we did a walkthrough with management. They refused to sign any sort of walkthrough release, and told us we would be billed for the one-month early-termination penalty. SIX MONTHS LATER we got a bill from a collection agency for more than $3000! They said we had never done a walkthrough, and that we had never given notice, which was all a lie!!!!

I have nothing but contempt for the staff at FCM. They are absolutely horrible. DO NOT lease from them!!!
