An associate recommended The Fulton Cotton Mill Lofts to me. They told me about the Tax Credit, because I was looking for a nice clean well built affordable place and I was working for a non-profit organization. However, they decided to look elsewhere. I check into it myself and I had an horrific experience. First, I and others had ant problems in the kitchen in our units. I notice when I came home every now and then there was water puddles here and there. I would have tea and crumpets almost every morning with neighbors I did not know, because of cheap materials(walls and floors). I could hear everybody's conversation very clear from the right/left units to the unit upstairs/downstairs. The biggest problem and dangerous health issue was my neighbor that lived upstairs when he flushed his toilet it would leak down the pipes on the bathroom wall that was exposed to my bedroom and down the medicine cabinet onto my toilet. They patched up the problem a few times and then a third time. Days after.. I went to bed late around midnight. I was fast asleep(la la land)around 1:00am I was disturbed by a sound that sounded like a grand water fall. I thought I was dreaming at first until it wouldn't stop. I woke up...looked up from my bed turned on my bedroom light and there it was flowing down the pipes like a stream. By that time I was ready to move. My lease was almost up I really did not have no where to go at that time so I stuck it out. When my lease was up I still did not have anywhere to go. I needed at least six months to look for another place. I told them that I would renew my least if they will fix all the problems that I had listed. They said OK. However, that did not happen. I found out later that the other tenant moved out of the same unit that I was in, because of the same issues(toilet pipe problems etc.). The management knew about that problem in that unit and moved me in regardless. To make a long story short....I moved, I left the unit spotless. I did not receive my security deposit and they put the unit on my credit report with all that said. I gave my life to God in 2003. I forgive the Management and Owners.
To God be the Glory!
Peace & Blessings!

FYI: If you want to make a change in the Fulton Cotton Mill Loft community first you must pray for the leaders there. You must get a list of former tenants and tenants that are not affraid to speak out Professionally)!. You must go and take your concerns together to Management with the Owners included.
Until you all take a step together in unity to solve these problems. These issues will continue until there is no more Fulton Cotton Mill Lofts or a new owner appear or your children take a stand!

Peace B!

So so sad that someone can contribute such a story and still be forgiving of the thiefs that operate the Fulton Cotton Mill Lofts. Too bad this person had to experience such horrific events and still be forgotton with promised repairs (that never happened) and then no deposit being refunded. And yet this fomer resident still has a forgiving attitude and tries to keep upbeat about such an event! Peace be with that former resident! Hopefully they found someting better!

The property had its problems but the idiotic management made it much worse. If they put in the effort that some of these "Mcpartments" put in to dealing with maint issues and making sure their tenants were happy they would have a waiting list to get a unit. The problem is the whole supply demand thing. There's a truckload of people wanting a loft at a good price who are willing to put up with their BS. Until these people have had enough or have read about their crap ahead of time their be super nice before you lease and treat you like scum after you have signed the dotted line tactics wills till work.
