I couldn't agree more. Just spoke to a woman getting her stuff out of storage to move. Apparently she lived in H building which has gone condo. Management offered her a chance to buy--$250,000 for less than a thousand sq. ft--which she declined. They agreed to let her stay until her lease was up in March. The only condition was that if someone wanted to buy she'd have to leave. Management assured her they would give her "ample" notice. "Ample" turned out to be SEVEN days. And she had lived here for six years without any problems! They treat everyone like crap in order to make a buck!

The Truth: By Georgia law, when a building goes condo, each rental resident has the right to either complete their lease or 12o days, whichever is longer. - So the statement that anyone has to leave before their lease is up is not true. Also, every renter had the option to purchase their apartment at a discount either as is or with the upgraded finishes. The purchase prices were based on about $170 per square foot - so the "management offer" stated by stanleycat was either mis heard or an outright fabrication; take your pick. But I suppose you should never let the truth get in the way of your opinions.
