I Don't See What's So Bad

I've lived at Lincoln Court (well, Gables at Lenox Hills is what they're calling it now) for about eight months and I honestly don't have many complaints. The gates ARE broken sometimes but I wouldn't say always. Perhaps different buildings have different experiences. I live in the 800 building and hardly ever see anyone over here, let alone partiers, drunks, or other riff raff. I am constantly getting notices about car break-ins and the such, but I don't know where it's happening or who the victims are. When we were under Lincoln management, I never had a problem with the leasing office. In fact, they were extremely friendly and we even knew each other on a first name basis. I was sad to see them go. When I needed something fixed, maintenance was on it that very day. I was impressed. I don't know how Gables is because I haven't needed to deal with them yet. I do have a problem with the shortage of above ground parking spaces for my building. People must have a lot of visitors because non-tenants are always taking up the spaces. Also, the walls are paper thin. I get scared sometimes because the noise I hear in other apartments sounds like it's happening right in my apartment. I hear everyone vacuuming their floors and opening their doors. Other than that, I've loved my experience here and if I wasn't moving back to California, I'd renew my lease. Maybe I just got lucky. Lastly, anyone who doesn't read lease stipulations on their own, word for word, has no reason to complain about the leasing agents not being clear about lease termination fees. It's not their responsibility to do that. It would be nice, but it should never be expected, with any property.
