I have lived at this apartment complex for alomost four years. The new management of Gables is a disaster. As another reviewer mentioned, the ridiculous flags and junk out front makes the place look absolutely ridiculous--I am actually embarassed to turn in here every day after work.

Also, I have to concur with the noise issues--you can hear everything an upstairs neightbor does, especially if they have dogs (and it seems as though everyone does). Management refuses to address noise concerns and basically says their hands are tied.

As a final bonus, in addition to the increased rent rates for renewed leases (oh, so suddenly the rent for this apartment has gone up $200' makes sense to me...) the leasing office now longer accepts packages for the residents (which Lincoln Court did for the last 3 years). Instead, if you are mailed a package, you find a note in your mailbox telling you that you need to drive 10 minutes down the road to the distribution center where you get to wait in line and eventually get your package. When I confronted them about wasting 30 minutes of my day each time I receive a package I was told that it only applied to "large packages" because they were cluttering up the office and "creating an unsafe work environment". And yet somehow Lincoln Court managed...Of the last 3 packages I have picked up the largest has 3"x8"x14". It is obvious that it has nothing to do with the size, but rather the fact that the employees don't want to be bothered.

This place has been great for 3 years, but given the increased rates combined with all of the unecessary hassles I cannot wait until my lease is up. Seriously don't move here or if you do make sure you get all of the details (ask 'em about the packages and try to keep a straight face when they tell you some of your mail gets delivered 3 miles away)
