The only thing nice about this apartment complex is the convenient location... that's it! I have lived here for almost a year and I cannot wait for my lease to end. The parking is absolutely terrible... DO NOT even think about moving here if you think you ever want to have visitors! There are people driving around that cannot wait to boot cars and collect $75. Also, we are across the street from a night club called club Miami, so the very few visitor parking spaces we do have are taken by people that are going clubbing!!!! People let their friends in and take up our parking to go to the club...UNBELIEVABLE!!!
Let's not forget the homicide that happened right outside of my apartment... it was absolutely ridiculous and I have not felt safe since. The gates are always broken and people are always trying to tailgate to get it (btw, if this happens just let them in... I understand this is why the homicide took place). Oh... the management is not the best and I swear there is a new face in the office almost everyday!
There is so much, that I could be on here all day.
The reason for me writing this is to warn potential renters... Please do not be fooled by the outward appearance. Looks can be deceiving! I think it is great that renters have an avenue such as this to warn potential renters before they entering into a contractual agreement and become another victim of really bad management.

A few questions just for clarity: 1)On the one hand, you state that residents allow their guests to park in the community on their way to Club Miami but you also seem upset by the presence of a booting company. Seems like management is trying to deter people from this practice...what would be a better solution? 2)You say that you do not feel safe but, then, you recommend allowing someone to tailgate you in...why would you do this? 3)Why is seeing new faces in the office necessarily a negative? Yes, we develop relationships with certain people and it's nice to know that someone knows you personally but there is always documentation available so that whomever is in the office on any given day can help you or - in case they cannot - direct you to the person that can help. On a personal note, while I think it is great that people can use sites like this express their feelings and provide information for other prospective renters, people should also be aware that this site is very one-sided. By this, I mean that no management company can post responses to their residents without paying for the privilege. There is nothing in place in this forum to make sure the information provided is accurate and i have seen blatant lies posted on several occasions...not to mention awful language and slurs. Hopefully this site will evolve in the future into something a bit more balanced and helpful. Bottom line is this (two-fold): Make decisions for yourself about where you choose to live. For our residents, we hope that you will work WITH us to address any concerns you have and help us make our community even better than it is. If you would prefer not to discuss this in person or during office hours, we have a facebook group available which many residents find is a useful tool for creating a more open dialogue. The anonymous writer (I guess this is someone affiliated with Gables), commented about everything else, but failed to respond to the homicide comment. Therefore I am left to assume that this incident did take place. As "one sided" as this site may seem, it is good for the renter to know what they are getting into. I really appreciate this site and it has truly been very helpful to me. Thank you.

It is helpful, and ya'll please pay attention to the residents on here! The homicide definitely happened, and just last night, a girl was abducted, raped and nearly murdered by her NEIGHBOR! Don't make your decision based on how this place seems, because I guarantee that after you move here, Gables only sees your money, and you won't see anything but nastiness and lies out of them.
