Gables Lindbergh Place

Recommended - a *balanced* review. From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 6/13/2002 Years at this apartment: 2001 - 2002   Other people who have rated this complex poorly must have been having a really bad day ... We moved here in July of 2001 and we're about to renew our lease for another year. Management and staff are friendly, the grounds are kept in impeccable condition, and our suite is large and comfortable. Any time we've had a maintenance issue (which has been rare), it has been addressed quickly and professionally. The professionalism of the staff, in fact, exceeds what I've experienced any other place I've ever lived. I think management and staff do a terrific job under a great deal of pressure. It's true that the surrounding neighborhood isn't the greatest, but the community is gated and we're steps away from the MARTA station. I feel safe here, and I have heard of only one break-in. The building fire alarm went off a couple of times due to faulty wiring, but the response was quick both times and the problem has been solved. We can hear our neighbors only if they crank their stereos, and the few times that has happened, we just asked them to lower the volume and the problem was solved. No one has ever indicated that they can hear us make any noise (not that we try!). Having our own washing machine and dryer within our suite is a godsend. Our bathrooms are huge and lovely. The apartment is very well appointed. It's true there is no in-suite security system, but in a gated community you don't necessarily need one. It's also true that the kitchen sink doesn't have a hose, but so what' We've got a dishwasher, garburator, microwave, deluxe fridge, and stove/oven. It's sweet! My only real complaint is that moving in was a little hard. The distance between the loading bay and our suite was kind of long so the movers had to haul our furniture a ways. At least there are elevators though! Nearby properties (like Post Lindbergh) don't have elevators. Now that would make for a difficult move. We've been really happy here this past year, and we're looking forward to another good year.
