The office management has zero customer service skills. Expect none and like it. It doesn't matter that they've recently hired a 'rescue team' staff to counter their incredibly high vacancy rates that they are dealing with now. They will still give you zero customer service, except now they do it with a smile on their face hiring a bunch of 'Buckhead Bettys' running around the office.

Read the reviews, consistently the office staff is bashed and for good reason. Anything positive written about these people can only be from the office management themselves. Put down a deposit' Don't expect it back, they will find a way to keep it no matter how perfect you keep your place. Have a question' Expect to be looked at with a dazed and confused look like you are not supposed to ask any questions. Zero helpfulness, zero organization, no proactiveness, nothing but a big fat zero.

One day...they just might realize that their vacancy rates aren't due to landscaping, pools and fitness centers, it is due to POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE and that WORD SPREADS FAST. Add me to yet another on the list that will spread the word to never, ever rent from this place.

If they paid attention to the residents as they do the landscaping, they might be on to something. Unfortunately, you'll see much happier plants at Gables Metropolitan than you will residents. Be warned of the pretty face of Gables, because the insides are rotten to the core.

Nobody is ever available in the office and they will blame you for not amending your schedule to their's. When you finally find someone you can talk to, they'll put on a confused face and treat you stupid. It takes several months to get anything fixed and I consistently had to contact (or more likely, chase after) them to settle over-charged bills. Just can't wait to move out.

Unfortunately, you pretty much described every apartment management staff in the country. I started working in this business back in 1998 and it was a much more down-to-earth, personable operation. Now it's all show and no substance...just a bunch of bubbly blonde bimbos walking around in high heels with no other purpose than to sit there and look pretty. That's why they're always so charming when you're touring, but completely useless once you move in. There's no discretion or common sense anymore...if they can't find the answer in their company policy handbook, you might as well ask them how to solve for x. And they're getting paid $50K per year to do this crap. That's why rents keep going through the roof, and they keep coming up with more and more fees to suck every last dime out of you...app fees, cleaning fees, "no hassle moveout fees", carpet fees...can anyone tell me what exactly an admin fee is for??!! They have no appreciation for the value of money to real people...to them it's all just numbers on a report that dictates whether they get a bonus or not. At the place I live now, they honest-to-God charged me to get a key to use the amenities (gym, pool, etc)...you know....the very things that my rent pays for!!! What's next? An extra charge just to get a key to open the door to your apartment?
