The apartments are very nice but the management is terrible. I have lived in a lot of apartments and I rarely have problems with the management. Cars get broken into while the gates are not working for 2 to 3 weeks at a time. Some pedestrian gates have been broken for months at a time. There has been a leak in one of the corridors where the majority of the hall has water on it at all times, it has been that way for 6 months now. And when it come to dealing with the management they are the most unreasonable people. I know several people that are paying the $2000 to break their lease.

I couldn't agree more! If I would have known what I know now, I would have never moved into here! When I signed my lease a few weeks ago, the leasing agent was constantly interrogating me about if my girlfriend would be living in the apartment with me! First off, who cares, secondly, I think it is ridiculous that even if she does "stay" with me for one or two weeks a month, I have to put her on the lease. I think she even documented this whole situation! How about first you worry about those disgusting pools which are nothing more than frat parties! They let everybody and their brother live here and then they invite as many people as they want to the pools, get totally wasted and, leave beer bottles, underwear and everything else imaginable all over the place! Needless to say, I look forward to my lease being over!

YES, YES!!! Its high time that "real" reviewers leave honest opinions here.... Instead of the Gables Metropolitan staff attempting to lure innocent renters into this hell hole. I only wish I could afford to pay the $2000 to break my lease. I mean honestly, I am really tired of living in this college dorm. Its really ridiculous and sad. Why just yesterday 7/14/2008, there was an issue with the fire alarm for building 12 continuing to go off without a real threat. It was awful as the fire department came out 6 times from 6pm 7/14/2008 till 7am 7/15/2008. Let me take a wild guess..... someone playing tricks with the alarm switches>???
