I was just looking on this website purely out of curiousity and after reading so many negative comments I felt the need to stand up for my home for the past 2 years. Is it really that bad' I certainly don't think so. I have lived in 3 other Gables properties (Buckhead (which is no longer owned by Gables), Lenox Hills, & Rock Springs) in Atlanta and I consider this property by far the nicest and safest. I think people are forgetting that you live in a HUGE community and its an APARTMENT COMPLEX. You do not live in the Waldorf Astoria--just don't expect everything to be perfect ALL THE TIME. And yes, I do have standards. I really don't think bugs, trash, and my fellow neighbors are a problem at all. Don't get me wrong, I have had a few issues (bills on my door that I didn't actually owe, losing packages among other things, but everything always got resolved). I do think they could do a better job of managing the leasing office, but the grounds itself and the property I think are very well maintained--espcially considering how many residents live there. I think the majority of the negative comments posted on this website are common with apartment complexes in general, regardless of where you live. If you don't want to deal with neighbors, bugs, other people's pets, noise, a landlord, etc. buy a house. If you don't want to deal with crime, move out of the city. If you need a nice place to rent, I would definately look here.

It really is that bad! Let me tell you how bad it is! When I originally went to the office to look at apartments I was dealing with one of their sales consultants. She seemed completely clueless from the beginning, but I decided to lease anyway because I liked the apartment and got a somewhat "fair" deal. However, when I went in yesterday to sign my lease, it was all messed up! To further complicate things, the next sales consultant I worked with yesterday was ten times more clueless than my original consultant. She told me I needed this done, and that done, which I was told nothing about. And on top of all of that, she made me take time out of my busy day to go and get something notarized! Are you kidding me! Look, Im in sales, and both of these sales consultants were completely clueless as to how sales work. The customer is always right. What an awful first impression. I hope that I never have to go into that office and deal with either of these two sales consultants, because clueless in and understatment!

I love the phrase "if you don't like crime, move out of the city". It is the most ignorant statement on earth. First, crime is everywhere. Second, there are plenty of "crime free" apartment complexes right here in the city, I promise you! So when anyone ever says "deal with crime, you are in a city" just laugh because it is bizarre logic. The person above has only lived on Gables properties so of course he/she loves it, this person has nothing to compare it to! This person is used to abnormal noise, crime, bad management, etc. because this person is a Gables shill!
