Concerned residents,

Please understand that the incident that occurred on September 30 was not a murder. It was, in fact, an incredibly unfortunate self-inflicted incident that resulted in death. Pre-mature information was released by the authorities and the news media stating that a murder took place. This is entirely untrue. In respect for the family members no further details will be posted. We at Gables Metropolitan understand your concern and hope this information helps to negate the false information stated in these postings.

In response to other comments included in the postings, Gables Metropolitan does not accept Section 8 housing. Criminal background checks are preformed on all of our residents and our criminal screening process and requirements for residency have remained the same since Gables Residential has managed this community.

If you have further questions, you may contact the leasing office.

Wow, and why has there been no posting of precaution or notice to concerned residences living in Gables Metropolitan posted throughout the community???

You and the management staff before you (since no one can seem to stay longer than 4 months) has done an increasingly worse job of managing this property. The quality of life has changed more than I or anyone else could have ever expected. I'm sure that within two years this will be nothing more than the city's largest crack house. No one who works here cares at all. I have had to fix two problems in the past two months in my apartment becuse of lack of service. That of course, is assuming that I can even get someone to answer the phone in the office. I have had several of my friends that were interested in living here and I was sure to tell them to look elsewhere. You are compromising good people who are current/future residents for the ghetto trash that is moving in. Is it worth all the late/no pays, evictions, noise complaints, violence to try and fill this place up? People are running from here, including the staff. As a matter of fact, I'm comfident you dont have three people that have been here more than 8 months. As a side note: I called because a moving truck was blocking the entire entrance into the parking deck. The lady on the phone told me to handle it myself. Wonderful. It is my hope that you try and let people with a credit score of 12 to find another place to live. You may not officially be Section 8 but you are as close as it gets. You may also want to staff your office with pleasant people who are easy to deal with. This of course, is assuming you are not the last manager I delt with who is most likely the laziest, worthless person I have ever met.

So Gables admits they post here now - who can check all the posts IP addresses that seem fishy to see if they are misrepresenting their property (which from what another poster has said is very illegal). Plus they rated it a 5.0. Interesting. Also they are truthful about no section 8 - I checked with HUD. However that is as of today 10/3. In terms of a formal definition of what happened, the police would be the source not the apt complex. I'd like to see the official release / report. Anyone who wants to know all the details request a report from Dekalb county police for Madison Dr. You'd be surprised how much crime there actually is (no violent crime huh?).

Then why are the police investigating it as a murder not a suicide. They are asking local businesses for records etc. Stop lying to your residents!
