i have been living in Gables Metropolitan for about a year and half and have had no problems really. I have read some of these bad reviews and I dont understand it. yes, the fire alarm went off and yes people do put trash in the hallways. But, the office can't control these issues. The good thing is that everytime the alarm went off, the fire department was there within minutes. Primarily because the Dekalb Fire station AND the police station are both down the street. When people do put trash out the hallways, Notices go out on all the doors saying that people need to pick it up. For the most part, its beautiful clean place to live. I love the fitness centers, they're really nice. Its quiet too. You can't hear in between the walls AT ALL!! I can never hear my neighbors. They're huge apartments on the inside and have lots of space. Also, there's two security guards that drive around the apartment complex. Any issues that you have you can go the office. I have complained about so many things, and everytime i do the leasing staff work with me to resolve them. They followup on all maintenance calls as well.
The biggest plus of all is the location. You're right next to a Walmart. The Perimeter Mall is right across the street. You have immediate access to ALL freeways.. 400...285..and 85. Its perfect if you ask me.
All in all, i was very pleased with my stay here and definitely recommend it to others.

Shill review! If it is so perfect why have you "complained about so many things"??? Can't hear your neighbors? We all know that is impossible! NEXT!

I agree completely! My wife and I are going into our second year here and delighted with everything. It is clean, quiet, and we do not have the garbage issue. Perhaps because of the part of the complex in which we live. Very convenient. We look forward to being here a very long time!

I also live in phase II, and aside from the punk kids who pull the fire alarm once a month... It's been a great place to live.

I live in a Phase 2 too and I'm loving it!!! My neighbors are quiet and nice people, I agree that you can never hear what's going on behind your neighbor's wall. This is a very quiet and beautiful community, there are a lot of things to do here, and I absolutely love a view from my window and my cute Juliet balcony! As far as I'm concerned, the maintenance people did nothing but a great job fixing some of the problems I had. The leasing staff is always extremely friendly and helpful. They know my name, by the way(!!!) and they probably have a couple of thousands people living there. This is great community, and as any other apartment complex anywhere else they do have some problems sometimes....but it's gonna happen anywhere you live! I GUESS TO THOSE WHO SAYS BAD THINGS ABOUT GABLES HERE: YOU ALL SOUND LIKE VERY UNHAPPY AND BITTER PEOPLE! LIKE PEOPLE WHO GET A WIERD KIND OF SATISFACTION FROM CONSTANT COMPLAINING ABOUT EVERYTHING! THIS IS NOT GABLES' PROBLEM....GUESS WHAT? YOU'LL BE UNHAPPY ANYWHERE YOU GO!!!!
