I have lived in many apartments but never had the urge to write a review but this time I wanted to warn people before they get in, so that they know before making the commitment. Have been living in Gable for a year and a couple of months now and here is how it has been:
The pluses are: nice location(A ), clean from outside, decent amenities (2 pools & 2 gyms). The bad:
no decent internet access, both the cable provider and the DSL provider suck. DirectPath internet could supposedly could go up to 6MBits but you will be lucky if it stays on the whole week. I had to call at least every month with outage and their customer support sucks. DSL is so bad you can only get the slowest possible broadband (1.5Mbits) and it is so flaky you can't really call it up. So what do I do, I have both which adds another 85 (49.99 cable and 34.99 DSL) dollars to your rent and when one doesn't work, I unplug and use the other and call customer support. That will be your life too, if you decide to live here and want fast internet access(if dial up is good for you or you don't know what internet is, you are set :). Well TV will be the same problem, can't watch much with out at least a day or so of signal outage every month so make sure you don't care about that too. The other is the management stuff, well good luck getting them on the phone and if you walk to their office, plan on going there a couple of time to get things done. One time they put in the wrong blinds and it took us a couple of tries talking to a couple of managers to get it done. Maintenance is OK but not that competent they have now replaced the same toilet flusher two times and it still doesn't work correctly. I agree with other reviewer that the corridors and elevators are dirty, some are really bad but it depends which building you are on. Overall it is not bad but there are many better communities in Dunwoody, even just across from it, so be ware before you decided to move to this community since I don't think it deserves the top dollars we pay for it.

I agree with you. I have lived here for 3 years and have not moved because I got a great deal on the two year contract, however, my contract is about to expire and I will not renew. All my previous neighbors have also left because of the low quality living here. The amenities are nice but don't be fooled by appearances! For example, the gym in stage 3 is very nice, however, half of the treadmills and the TVs are broken and have been for months now! One of the many times that I called to inquire about when the machines/TVs would be repaired, I was told that they were too expensive to repair!! Our rent is very high and should entitle us to enjoy of spotless facilities but that is not the case here. I agree wit this writer: BEWARE. Much better places in Dunwoody!

I can't also wait to get out since for the last three week my internet has been down a day here and a day there. Just hung up on the service person since the only recommendation she has is to reboot the machine and modem eventhough I told her I did before I called and it didn't help the slowness. If you need fast internet, what ever you do don't move into gables.

yes, u are totally right guys, it is the terrible management, i havent seen before, also u dont have any options about internet acses it's supposed to be direcpath, which is sucks. on the other hand they just pushing to get directv and direcpath. i believe they got contract between them. i lived many apartments, but i never seen like this. i choose them just beceause of location, but i'm not going to extend my lease.
