I have never had a worse experience in my life. The staff knew I was supposed to move in for a month, but when I came to sign my paperwork and get my keys, they sent someone from maintenance to look at the apartment with me, because it wasn't "ready." That was a huge understatement! The apartment was in horrible condition, i.e. the carpet was awful, there were holes in the walls, the stove had been taken apart and the parts were sitting on the countertop, a ceiling fan was hanging by its wires, and the SMELL was more than either of us could bear. Upon our return to the leasing office, the property manager was very rude, unaccomodating, and very unapologetic. I demanded that I have my money returned, and have never gone back. Three weeks later, I received a bill in the mail for the day I was supposed to move in. I have no idea how that property manager was ever hired. On a side note, the office and the model that they show you have just been renovated, so don't let them deceive you. The apartments are 27 years old, and in terrible shape. There are plenty of nicer and newer apartments in that area. Stay away from Gables Mill!
