For those of you who are shopping around for apartments to rent in the Atlanta area, judging from the preceeding reviews- you may not even have to read mine to make your decision. My roommate and I recently moved out of our Gables Mill apartment due to many of the reasons other reviewers have discussed. First, and perhaps most importantly, the management leaves much to be desired. Each time I entered the office I was greeted by rude, uninformed, arrogant leasing consultants (if you can even call them that). Second, it takes FOREVER to get any maintenance issue resolved. Here's an interesting story- the gates were broken for an extended period of time and during that time many cars/apts were broken in to. The take home message to Gables Mill should have been: get the gates fixed faster. Ironically, however, it is not uncommon to receive tackily placed notes on your door from management complaining about residents not picking up trash (or something trivial). The bugs and other arthropods found on the property are absolutely unacceptable. I agree with a previous reviewer who wished that a management member would get bitten in the face by a scorpion. Finally, I think it is important for the Gables Mill management to be informed that they need to be consciously aware of their short-comings. It is one thing to be aware of one's flaws, but competely different (and worse) to be ignorant to them.
