I've been reading ALOT of reviews (mostly negative) about aptmnt complexes as I'm looking for new place. I'm not the type to write a review either, but I thought Gables did a meager, but decent job. I lived there 1 1/2 years, my roommate stayed for 3 years & we both had a basic, though good-enough stay. Absolutely nothing outstanding - no community activities, some noisy neighbors and young-college kids partying & making noises (who takes a bath at 2am!'!') but no major problems, not many bugs (2nd level aptmnt) and the few maintenance problems were fixed w/in several days. The gates were ALWAYS broken and there are the random sketchy visitors honking & peeling out making noise late at night. I felt safe enough other than the Mexican workers who antagonize good-looking girls. Started landscape work too early too! Doesn't anyone sleep past 8am!''! There are families and alot of young, single people which seems nice. Not much of a community place though, difficult meeting your neighbors, but I'd recommend it overall for the location & average Gables community.

No bugs!?! How is that possible. I live in building 4 and have had non stop problems with bugs since I moved in 9 months ago. Maybe all the bugs from your building are now living in mine.
