If you like loud base vibrating your apartment at all times of the day of if you like pametto bugs and cockroaches then this place is for you. We moved into this apartment in May. It was great for the first 3 months, THEN some kid moved in above us. He brought with him a bed that clunks everytime he gets into it or when he moves at night. It sounds like is dropping golf balls on the floor all night long. He also just got a stereo for x-mas and is testing it right now at 10:03 at night. I know it sounds like I have a beef with the neighbor but I havent got to the bugs yet. I thought it odd that the agent doing our move in walk through would mention "If bugs begin to be a problem, call us" which at the time seemed benign. Untill it started to rain after a dry summer. ALL the bugs moved in with us. Palmetto, cockroaches, some weird worms, and one time a bug which was a cross between a preying mantis and something out of Starship Troopers (It was the ugliest bug I've ever seen) and about 3 inches long!!!!!!!! There is no playground for kids, they just resided all the buildings so now they look like Willie Wonka's corporate offices or doo doo brown, which ever you prefer. The bathrooms are showing their age too. After years of water damage from over flowing toilettes and showers, the bottom of the bathroom vanity has rotted off reveiling the moldy and mildue'y undernieth exposed. The carpet is absolutely trashed. We walked on it barefoot when moving in and it felt stiff and dirty so we vaccumed it,,,,,,,,,,, have clear vacuum so we could see what came up. About 3 lbs of pet hair and carpet freshener residue. We had them come twice to clean the carpet and now it is alittle better but I still dont walk barefoot on it! And as far as parking,,,,, fugetaboutit! If you get home anytime after 9 pm you might as well park two buildings down and hoof it cause the only spots which are open are the handicapped spots. (I live in the only handicapped unit in the building and I will still get ticketed if I park there,,,,dumb) Appliances are OLD and the freezer is rusty. The stove drawer is broken and the closet for the washer and dryer is too small for both. Oh and there goes the kid above me AGAIN with his techno base thumping at 10:33 on a thursday night. Nice place other than that.
Update I woke up tonight to the sound of what I thought was the kid upstairs cat. I got up to go get a glass of milk and saw plaster, insulation and RAT dropping on the floor in the kitchen! So I turned on the heater and heard IT scamper into the ceiling and a TON of insulation and plaster blew out of the ceiling vent! There are rats roaming around the A/C ducting of this building! I could have gottn this kind of S34t hole down town for $450 instead of the $775 they are stealing from me. Stay away, this place blows! There are rats roaming around the A/C ducting of this building!

I agree to rats in the building. Everytime we turn our heat on we get this musty smell comming from the vents. I think it's years of dust mytes and mole, but it could verywell be some dead rats and mice. This place is in a cool location, but it's way overpriced for what your renting.
Oh yeah, and the willy wonka style remodeling that was done by a company that outbid hard working american tax payers when the residing job was out bid MILLERiquez construction looks like ----! We still have paint on all our windows, and the paint is peeling!
