We have lived at the Gables for just over 1 year now and have had more than enough bad experiences, especially considering the $$ we pay for it. We had a false impression based on the nice exterior and area that it would be a nice, well-kept complex with more considerate neighbors and management then what we've found. And the neighbors will keep getting even more inconsiderate the more management ignores what they do.

The only reason the last person had such a high rating so far is they haven't suffered through the summer-time at the Gables. The pool becomes a big party and if you live above it (which half of the newer complex does), you hear noise, loud parties and even fire-crackers in the parking lot occassionally up to 3:00 in the morning (oh, and we witnessed a couple having SEX in the pool one Saturday afternoon - good thing the kids only came down afterwards). They finally got a security officer in the building (after numerous complaints & threats and yes, the police officers we called, as noted in other review, can't do anything about our calls). But, the trick is you have to be woken up in the middle of the night first, call him, then he'll take care of the noise. There are no locks around the pool to even try to deter random people from coming there at night to throw a party.

Trash is allowed to be left outside people's doors. Don't even dare walk on the grass because you'll step in dog crap. There is no enforcement to have people clean up after their dogs and it is literally everywhere you try to step, it's disgusting. The walls and ceilings are SO thin you can hear people just walking (which everyone has to do) along with voices and music. We now sleep with a box-fan to block out all the noise. Forget trying to relax in a nice quiet apartment.

The management, as noted in every review, is extremely poor. Noah is the best one there and unfortunately is not even a manager. Everything written about management in other reviews is correct! They take no initiative to make sure the complex is kept up to decent standards (we're not asking for much, we know it's just an apartment complex). They're reactive (sometimes), not proactive. Not the type of place worth paying good $ for when you can live in a multitude other great places in the same area with so many less headaches.
