Management sucks, they are not a friendly face. My favorite part is that if you don't put in rent by the 1st, no friendly reminder, no late notice then, but at the end of the grace period, by close of business three days, you'll get a full on possession of premises notice and a demand that a 10% late fee be paid (and all by money order). If you can so speedily put this letter up immediately every time, how about a friendly reminder to residents instead' Don't try and negotiate, explain, they have a 0 tolerance and don't cut any slack. They charge ridiculous rents, they vary based upon what they think you can pay, the walls are so thin you can hear everyone around you, the 24 hour maintenance response is a joke, security is a joke, every other day you're getting a letter warning about another break in (how about a little security with all that extra late fee money you so enjoy collecting') Finally, there are constantly (at least two to three times a week) people doing repairs on the external buildings, construction, removing furnaces, etc. Nothing like waking up two or three times a week to loud construction workers and maintenance guys outside when you can't get them to do repairs inside. You can never find a parking spot where I am either. This place blows, rent a house from a decent landlord and avoid the hassle.

I've been a small landlord and understand timely rental payment. Pay your rent on time and you won't have an issue. There are mortgage payments to be made and the money needs to come in on time. I do agree that Mgt is subpar, they seem rather uncaring and there is a lot of turnover in the office.
