Gables Rock Springs formerly Rock Springs Estates

I lived there for approx. 8 months. Overall the apartment wasn t bad...The location was great; close to work and entertainment. BUT my car was stolen from the apartment garage... yea... my ENTIRE car was stolen. The same evening another resident had three of his wheels and tires stolen. The next evening my roommate had his car broken into (smashed glass, iPod, sunglasses, etc all gone).
So naturally after my car was stolen I contacted the police and they asked about a gate...or cameras... or a security officer and I said no, we don t have any. Even the police officer was shocked by this. Anyway, I contacted the front office and they acted like it was a run of the mill thing and no big deal. No real remorse at all. I asked about security measures and they said they sometimes have a rent-a-cop come out randomly. Doing a helluva job!!
Either way I posted flyers in the elevator saying that my car was stolen and for everyone to be careful and to make sure to bring all valuables in to their apartment. (A very nice, well written flyer) The front office then called me to complain saying that I shouldn t be letting the residents about the incident and then they proceeded to get an attitude with me. I felt the entire situation was handled unprofessionally and inappropriately. I knew there was nothing that they could do to help recover my car, but the simple fact of acting like they were going to try and make safety a priority or to implement some increased safety measures would have made me feel better about the situation but alas this seemed like an everyday occurrence to the staff.
Luckily, my work brought me to a new position out of state and out of Gables Rock Springs.
