I just moved my daughter into this complex this weekend.
So just to see how it really is. My husband and I stayed for 4 days.
I have to wonder who is writing some of these reviews. Are they just disgruntle previous residents or other apartments who are just trying to make this intercity complex look bad.
Upon arrival for the check in the staff was very professional and friendly. I felt that the apartment manager was like a mother figure who care about the residents and what impressed me so she spoke to each tenant that she saw and knew them by name.
To me this was a plus because yes there college students who lives there and it is encouraging to know there are managers who tries to motivate the young people.
Not only the young people but even the lower income residents who might have only been exposed to a housing project environment.
This type of complex gives them hope (the ones that want to pull up)that if the college students that are living next door to me or the professional that is driving that Range Rover can do it then maybe so can I.
I feel that this is what the management team is trying to portray.
Yes there are bums and thieves in the area but while riding in the Atlantic Station area where the rent is on the higher end I saw bums and thieves walking around in those area also and I image that if I pull a police statistic report it will also so there is a high crime rate (but due to the area it not just publicized)
Yes there might have been break in but I can say I felt pretty safe there at night there. There were security guards and a couple a nights even an uniform Atlanta police office there at the entrance of the garage. And not to mention you can't even exit the garage with a pass key so if a thief gets into the garage he will have hard time getting out.
So once again according to review the management has worked really hard to rectify this and it seems to working.
(the only thing that I did not like is that when the level where the walk thru bridge was located on you had to access the bridge through the stairwell which was kind of scary.)
I will also have to agree that the apartments are very nice and spacious. Even the Studio is large.
So my overall rating for this complex would be a high 40 because nothing is ever perfect and that just leave room for growth.
I think that living in a complex like this can benefit everyone. There are people from all walks of life: black people, white people, brown people, poor people, rich people, uneducated people, educated people and people who are trying to get educated.

Maybe if the tenants who have already arrived can turn around and help that tenants who has not (mentor some of the youth and adults who are less fortunate) then maybe you'll can create that prefect complex that would all the other complexes looking to the inner-city complex.

Thanks for allowing me to respond.

I was a single college student who also lived there during the previous year. When I first moved in I was also impressed, and continue to be impressed with the office staff and their professional manner. However, as my residence continued the security gaurds were added as a safety measure due to the high number of car thefts, break-ins (one happening during daylight two doors down from me) and actual assualts happening not on the outside of the complex, but on the inside. The complex was not like this when I first moved in and I, like others, became increasingly scarred of our surrondings, especially those of us who have to work past dark. I was very satisfied with the complex as a whole, but until there is something done about the crime problems in the area(an yes, there is crime everywhere, however I still live in Atlanta and do not have to pass a sercurity guard to enter my new complex) I will not recommed someone to live there. Sorry Gateway.
