I lived in the gateway apartments for a year. It was horrible my car was towed from inside the parking garage and the apartments complex would not pay for the tow.While living there my car was broken into a total of four times. Once while inside the garage. The management team sent out notice after notice stating that myself and my roommate owed money for a water bill that we had paid months prior.It was a huge inconvenience to walk from my apartment to the dumpster and if i left the garbage near my door until the next morning the complex would fine me 100.00. Mind you I had several neighbors who would leave bags of trash outside there door. Also there was an ant invasion inside the apartment for a total of two weeks we called the management and did not get a response. After the exterminator finally showed ants still lingered in the apartment until I purchased insect killer to get rid of them. When we applied to the gateway they informed us we could not have pets they were not permitted, so we had to get rid of our puppy. However every since we moved there it would seem everyone else had a dog. Some very large breeds.While I was at home someone attempted to break into my apartment, I was petrified. There were several incidents that happened inside the complex which resulted in police response.There is drug traffic also strange people lingering in the halls at night. Security is very minimal in this complex. If you are looking to move into a place where you feel unsafe and appears pretty from the outside then please live here if not keep searching because the gateway has horrible service, is unsafe , and is liable to cost you more than just monthly rent.
