We love the location, and the people in the office are friendly. No problems with the neighbors, who seem to range from civil to very friendly -- except for parking and noise. When our A/C went out, they were wonderful about replacing it, though we were without for the weekend in 90 degree weather. Pets are kept well under control, and people are very good about picking up after their dogs. Problems: (1) Noise #1. Party next door (i.e. through our bedroom wall) had pictures literally jumping on our wall. Went on all night. Spoke to neighbors and hope it won't happen again -- but this pointed up the lack of insulation. (2) Noise #2. We can hear every movement overhead. And every use of bathroom. Not fun. (3) Maintenance - Uneven. We have repaired many of the problem areas ourselves -- their maintenance person does not understand wiring and left dangerous electricals which, fortunately, my husband was able to fix. (4) Cleanliness -- cobwebs and layers of dust hanging from water heater and furnace (which are located in closet in unit). Carpet inadequately cleaned when we moved in -- dirt started to wick up in a few days -- and the edges hadn't been vacuumed in years. (5) Counters - looked lovely when we moved in but it turns out they were simply painted. Every time you clean them, some of the paint wears away. We've been here now 1 1/2 months -- heaven knows what it will look like after a year!! (5) Gate - yes, as someone earlier reported, the gate is broken a lot. Apparently one elderly resident drinks too much and rams it periodically! Hopefully the management will act appropriately. (6) Trash -- if you are looking at an apartment here, do not rent one near the trash compactor. The recycle bins which are lined up along the front of the compactor are used as trash receptacles and the whole thing gets pretty grungy before the garbage pickup. (7) Water bill/trash bill is high -- the bill for the entire complex is portioned out to all residents according to number of people named on the lease. AND there is a $6/month service charge added on top, which the rental office had told me would not apply. The extras add up here -- ask carefully about them. (8) Parking - someone here runs a used car business and there have been as many as seven spots taken up by his unlicensed used cars. On more than one occasion I have been unable to park anywhere near my unit. (9) AND if you're dealing with rent.com, be aware it takes a LONG time to get your $100 rebate -- we've been here almost two months and still don't have ours.

I've never had an issue with parking but the gate is always broken, as it is now...and also the apartments are filthy and not kept up to date.
