Yes, you read that right!! An apartment in my neighborhood at Glenlake Apartments collapsed due to water pipe bursting. How crazy is that' And get this, Glenlake stated that they are not responsible for any damage inside the apartment. How pathetic is that, to say the least!! I currently stay in Glenlake but after seeing what happened to my neighbor, I'm definitely looking for something else before my roof collapses. I've had water damage in my apartment on a much smaller scale but maybe this is just a preview of what's to come. I will say that I get quite a few notices stating that our water will be turned off...not sure why. Please do not move into Glenlake. On a personal note, I have not had the best experience with the office staff. They have lied to get me to renue my lease and I'm really upset that I decided to renue. Decide for yourself but b/f moving in, please make sure you ask a few of the residents in the neighborhood what they think about the property. Or, just take my advice and look elsewhere.

I was on the bottom floor opposite side of where the roof collapsed. I had flood damage that went into my two bedroom apartment. They took the padding out from under my carpet and left the carpet in my apartment to dry. I had to clear out both of the bedrooms and move all of the stuff into the common living quarters of my apartment. My whole apartment smelt like mildew. It was so bad that I had a constant headaches whenever I was inside the apartment (my well-being seemed to be the last of their concern). When I confronted the leasing office about it they told me it was still liveable without even coming and checking it out. I was enraged at the treatment I received. She checked it out the day after and acknowledged that the conditions were not good, but I still had to pay for 4 days of living in the mess (I would have rather slept in a tent outside if I had one). After four days the carpet was replaced and when I went in to ask for the four days to be prorated they simply told me "no". That is all I ever heard from them, "no". I have paid them close to $17,000 since living here, and they couldn't even return a measely $120 to me just so I was happy. One of the ladies from the Connor group (who never witnessed my situation) was actually in the leasing office when I went in there today and she simply said "we didn't have to even replace the carpet". Pretty much I should be happy that I got new carpet, where if it was my choice I would have wished none of this had happened in the first place. This just showed me how cold the leasing office and the Connor group actually is. I have heard many other instances of coldness from previous and existing tenants. Today is the first day that I have ever posted things on a website like this.
