I moved here in April because I needed a quick place to stay before I started class across the way at the Art Institute. I actually had a bad feeling about renting here but I was so excited about school, I ignored the feelings and I am kicking myself for it. I have been nice about the millions of issues in my apartment and today I have lost it and refused to get snubbed by these leeches. When I moved in every inch of my apartment was completely filthy. I had glass in my carpet, nasty blinds, grease satins on my kitchen walls, pot and pans under my sink, smelly bathrooms, mildew, greasy stove tops, that is just naming a few things. The management staff sucks, well just the main two A.&K.. The maintenance does a good job when they are notified by the staff. Often times they don't know of problems until the tenants say something.
It took those smiling faces almost 4 months to replace blinds that were covered in dirt and filth. The only reason they came out today( 7/2/08) because I had to literally say I wasn't leaving the office until she( K) did something. She threatened to have me removed, so I left. She still did not give me documents I was waiting on. The company is so cheap they sent a cleaning staff to bleach down the blinds that are in my office. It cost to much to replace them because of their size. The cleaning lady said she had never seen blinds as dirty as the ones in my apartment and that they left a 2 inch dirt ring around the tub she used to clean them with. What a waist. My move-in check list had every single section filled with things that need to be fixed. She (K.) signed the move-checklist with a big smile. I have been un-happy since day one.
I tried to get cable and the Comcast guy said he didn't feel safe putting the service in because of faulty wiring in the apartment. Are you kidding me' Now I know why ALL my neighbors have the dish. That is shameful.
Now they have switched companies and they put K. in charge of the property and her best bud as regional manager. I am convinced things will never get done now. Every-time you have a complaint they are busy on the phone or in a meeting. That is complete and utter foolishness because how can you always be in a meeting or on the phone and get nothing done regarding the residents here' What the hell is going on' I will not continue to pay mortgage prices for a piece of crap apartment that smells like 1975. I don't want to live in a place that takes 4 months to get things done. I've got a lawyer, BBB, and undisclosed consumer reporting agency on the case. I am no longer upset because I am gonna let Karma deal with the poor management company

Im with you on everything you said, I have never heard a compliment from any other tenant here in the complex and I have talked to at least 10. This place is the devil's doing. You sign a lease because of a fake smile, and then move into hell.

LOL. I'm just laughing at all my typos. I was so upset during my ranting. I've calmed down now. I've decided that when I hit the lottery I'm going to tear this place down and build a SUPER Condo community. FREE RENT for all scorned tenants. Current management will be history!

To the author of completely feed up, I'm happy that you're getting a lawyer and taking care of business. I honestly don't know how the office staff sleeps at night. They really should be ashamed of themselves. Believe me, please try to get out of this lease. I've heard of tenants roofs falling in due to the water damage. That's absolutely crazy!!

So you are complaining about comcast? Why dont you call and ask to speak with a supervisor, sounds to me like your rep just didn't want to fix it. I had the same issue in my apartment when I moved in and called and asked to speak with a supervisor and have had no issues with comcast since.
Funny that your review is written on the second are you just mad about a late fee?

Looks like porkchop123 is an employee of glenlake. So maybe that's what Katie and staff do all day! They sit online and respond to posts so that their ratings go up. Guess that's why they never answer the phone.

Yeah, it seems like porkchop123 is Katie because out of all of what I posted all she could pull out that I was upset about Comcast. Comcast just tipped over the iceberg of complaints that I have. I been reading the reviews after mine and it is so funny that they are all positive reviews. So suspect to me. It is so Glenlake fashion of pointing the finger at someone else for the problem and not taking responsibility for their actions.
To the office staff: please stay offline trying to fix the ratings that I blasted you about in the letter to Ceebraid Signal and do your job. You should be busy building ramps for the disabled people in our community or ordering up some freakin' pest control for these ***** Centipedes.
No matter how many false reviews you post you still will get your Karma. So just start helping the tenants and quit the BS or do us a favor and find another profession.
