I think it is hilarious that the office staff or new management is posting all 5 ratings, especially on the same day. If you look at the two reviews posted just before this one on July 16, you will see that maintenance is spelled incorrectly, the same way in both, coincidence' Not so much. It has been proven that you can register different user name under the same email address, so you know they don't have much to do, if they sit and write reviews to boost the ratings. They should spend as much time concerned about the residents and not worrying about ratings on a website. Glenlake was very appealing when I moved here. Until I got my first bill for water, you can look forward to paying at least $60 per month from Heartland Regional Power. I have included a copy of my lastest bill for $73.57, for 1 person, for 1 month. Notice the charges I was telling you about above, $9 trash charge and $9 common electric charge. The bill for water, sewer, trash, common lighting, pest control and the all important admin fee. Common lighting is a funny one, because there are some lights that stay on all day, and there are others that don't even work at night, but yet, every light in the office works, imagine that. The grounds at Glenlake are ok, not the best, people with dogs do not pick up after they dog deficates, and there are several cats that run throught the property. If you walk to the left of the office heading to the east side of the complex you can smell cat urine, ahhh Nature at its best. Reading some of the reviews below, I cringe at the thought of the way some of the residents are treated. The person below who is confined to a wheelchair, I cannot believe they actually took the toilet out and the door off the hinges, would the apartment still be considered to have a bathroom with parts of it missing' and all that work for only 1 month left' I bet, there is no rent break for that. I will have to agree that the maintenance staff is very friendly, efficient and hard working. I cannot say the same about the office staff, well let me correct that, I can't say the same about the manager, there is a new girl there, so not sure how helpful she is yet. It is funny in some of the reviews below it mentions renovations...Uh when' Where' Not here, we have been told that new kitchens and bathrooms are coming, but I have not seen or heard of any yet, and I was told that last October, so don't believe it if you are told that by the office staff. The paint in my tub is coming up and clogging the drain, I have contacted the office, but they don't seem to be concerned about it. Oh well, good luck to whoever rents after me. Now, I guess I shold mention the gates, they are broken more than they are working. The guy was actually there today working on them, I laughed when I saw him stand back, bend over and look at the exit gate from a distance, I could just imagine him saying "DUH' How do I fix it'" Below there is a review that mentions how Glenlake mentions on their website about a clubhouse, etc, and we have never seen it, I have to agree with that review. The Clubhouse, is the office, not a clubhouse. Overall, I would say steer clear of Glenlake, go down by Perimeter Mall or on Roswell Road and rent, it has to be much better than here.

YES...MY bill is AT LEAST $60/month as well!!! I thought that it was just my building!!! The high utility bills is one of the many reasons I'm moving. I'm paying about $150/month for Gas, Water and Electric. I figured that I'd move and pay $100 more around the corner where I'll have just an electric and water bill, which is a total of 80 bucks, almost half of what I'm paying now!!!

I agree with your recommendation to avoid Glen Lake. It is a good location and the apartments are nice and spacious but the add-on fees are unacceptable. However, to those reading I would say do NOT rent to the north on Roswell Road between Abernathy and Spalding. Years ago I lived in what used to be called Plantation Creek. It is called something different now (I have left Atlanta and do not remember the new name) but the quality of the tenants in that area has been deteriorating for over 10 years.
