I am new to Atlanta and I currently live in Heritage common (student only apartments).
pros:
1.close to everything (AUC,downtown,midtown,shopping)
2.good way to meet other college students
3.safe (gated entry,cameras,secerity)
4.rent paid as a bundled charge including gas/electric,water,cable,internet etc)
5. washer and dyer in all unites, dish washer, microwave and fully furnitured.
cons:
1.kinda expenisve but it is a bundled price
2. they only have 4bedrooms and 2bedrooms so you'll have to have a roommate
3. repairs take FOREVER to get fixed. my washer was recently broken for a month. my last apartment carpet was filty upon move in and the never cleaned it the 6months i was there.
4. depending on where you live it can be nosiy so ive been told but i havent had that problem.
overall its fine...im only moving because i want to live alone and i feel that if i was going to have a roommate the $1400 a month we pay together could get us a townhouse in buckhead.
