Highland Square Apartments

No problems here From: lucier00@hotmail.com Date posted: 5/22/2004 Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2004   I am about to renew my lease for the second time. I love it here. Location is wonderful. It is a very quiet residential neighborhood and convenient to just about anywhere in and around the city. I have always had very good experiences with both the office and maintenance staff. The few times I've had to call them, our problems were fixed swiftly and correctly, once even responding an hour after we called. The office staff has always been extremely friendly and helpful. The 3 bedroom is quite spacious, although the kitchen is lacking a bit of storage for having to share it with 2 other people. (Nothing a 20 dollar cabinet from target can't handle). Also, I've read where several complain about hearing their neighbors... although I do live on the top floor, I never hear anyone. Sometimes I can tell when my neighbor is taking a shower, but that is it. My side of the complex is extremely quiet! Also, depending on the building in which you live, parking can be a bit of a hassle if you arrive home late at night. You may have to park a couple of buildings away, but the complex isn't exactly big, so it is not far of a walk. And I have not felt unsafe, nor seen any "shady" characters strolling through. My only real annoyance is not with Highland Square, but with Gables who has just recently torn down their old buildings next door, and are currently constructing new ones. Every morning, I wake up at 7:30 regardless of whether I wanted to or not. Still, I have no plans of moving, I can see myself living here until I make enough money to buy my own house, and I highly recommend this place.
