I have been waiting for my lease to run out since I moved in. Not only did my apartment get broken into, but my car did as well. And what did the complex do about it' Nothing. There are too many college students that like to party mid-week till all hours of the night. My rent was raised an additional $100 on top of a $25 trash-fee that you have no option of declining. As for a gated community, the gate is never working properly, and good luck finding a parking space near your unit. I highly recommend NOT living at Highland Square!!!

Coincidence that both your car and home got broken into? I feel safe and am very content with Highland Sqaure, the management has been nothing but professional since the day I moved in. They are friendly and have always responded immediately whenever we have requested anything. The residents are fun and always friendly, and the trash valet service was something the complex tried out as an added convenience to the residents. After residents expressed their dissatisfaction, the service was discontinued and the charge was no longer in place. The gate has been working at all times for the past year, and I am able to find a spot outside my doorstep everynight regardless of time and have not had any issues with parking once since I moved in one year ago. I will certainly re sign my lease this month and stay, I as well as my roomate and several others I have met in the complex are extremely satasfied with Highland Sqare.
