Most of the things you'll find at Spring Creek are pretty standard as far as older apartment complexes in Atlanta go. Low rents bring in all kinds -- in my building, we have a few married couples, two young families, several young singles, and several older singles. The kitchens have a bit of an outdated look, but the rest of the floorplans (particularly on the top floor) have a very clean, open look (but they all have white carpet, so beware!). My husband and I have had good experiences with maintenance. They always answer our requests promptly. There have been warnings about break-ins lately, and as this is seemingly one of the few complexes left in Atlanta without gated access, it's not surprising. I personally haven't had any experiences with crime here, though I have encountered some people at the workout room late at night who made me nervous.
We get noise here from two things -- one is the pool, and the other is the lawn care service. Despite it being summer, not autumn, the lawn care truck pulls up every weekday morning (and some Saturday mornings) and starts blowing leaves at 7:30. There are NO LEAVES to blow. And even when there are, they don't bother me. Who says every parking lot must be 100% free of all bits of nature' And why does Spring Creek pay these people to perform this fairly useless service' I'm sure the noise bothers people more than the two leaves in the parking lot do. My husband works nights and sleeps days, and it bothers him greatly.
We live near the pool, and in the summer, people sit there with radios on all day and all night. I have been startled awake at 4 in the morning to people still partyin' it up at the pool.
We'll continue to live at Spring Creek for now. I like the location, and all the trees on the property, and the rent's quite low. But if the management and noise get worse, we won't hesitate to move.
