Going down hill fast!!

Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2004
My wife and I Enjoyed our stay at Lake Louise for the 2 years we were there, however, after new management took over 1 1/2 years into our stay it started going down hill. That?s why we moved out. Also they are going to turn them into condos very soon. You must sign a contract that says they only have to give you 60 days notice to move out. The apartments were built in the early 60?s. They are large for the price, but they are still old. The roof cracked and creaked every time the upstairs neighbors walked around. I could hear their TV clearly every night.
At first they were selective on who they let move in. My wife and I felt pretty safe. When the new management took over they let ANYONE move in. It was not uncommon to see "gang bangers?, for lack of a better word, walking around at night. Towards the end of our stay it was not uncommon to wake up and find letters from the management posted on the door that read "...another car was broken into last night...?, or "...Items were stolen off the porch of apt ### last evening...? One day there were some guys (not kids) hitting golf balls into the lake. Many of the balls were going over the lake and hitting other buildings and cars. I yelled at them to stop. I got a friendly "Fu@k You "back.
Barbara and Mary Beth in the front office were Great people. They always had fresh baked cookies in the office when I went down there. The maintinanse staff was always prompt and friendly. I do have one complaint though. They put washer and dryer hook ups in the apartment above us (they did not have hook ups on the 2nd floor when they were built in the early 60s). Every time the guy upstairs would run his washer it would flood out of our drain pipe and flood our hall. I complained 3 times and they could never fix the problem. I gave up on them and fixed it myself. (Only took a 5 dollar flapper valve).
The Lake is nice but the Canadian geese poop on everything. They had someone come out and remove them but they come right back. People are always feeding the even though there are signs all over saying not to because they are trying to get rid of them. The workout room is minimal. 3 treadmills (only 1 works), Two old bikes (neither of them worked), 1 broken stair master, and a 10 in 1 weight bench thing. It had a large and surprisingly nice Sony TV in it but it was stolen right before we moved out. The pools were decent when we moved in but went down hill when they started letting anyone with a pulse and first months rent move in. There were always kids at them. People would bring there whole families there and take the pools over. One time we were sunbathing and the "undesirables" came down. Their kid said "mommy I need to pee? and the mom replied "just go in the pool." Real high class.
They spray for bugs once a month but I don?t think it really works that well. We had roaches and other various bugs the entire stay.
Even though we enjoyed our stay (except for the last dew months) I would say don?t move in to Lake Louise.
