good maintenence, snoopy managment, clean facilities

Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2003
Lived here for 1 year, deal they offered was larger (850sf) 1bedroom, usually $820 but 2 months free. Good maintenence, prompt to any problems, painted patio/banisters to keep it looking nice. Often one gate doesn't work, so I have to back up and go out the other exit. Management is weird - after they took my deposit and we signed a lease (I'm sure they didn't spend time/money really doing a credit check), they then demanded a copy of bank statements, driver's license, etc. Kept calling even when I refused. Too bad! Also, upped the rent at the end of the year lease, and gave minimal time to decide (2 months before lease was up). Late fees outrageous, 1 day late and they charge you. Also, you must move out by NOON the day your lease ends or they charge you (who finishes up at noon''). One can usually find parking though, and it's relatively safe, just noisy since it's next to the highway. When I first moved in, had a major ant problem, but after a few sprayings they're gone, a few fruit flies but have rarely seen a roach. Big tree is right in front of my balcony (blocks view of highway), kind of annoying. Am moving out this year due to increased rent, not much incentives offered (like nearby complexes - 3 months free rent/no app fee/no deposit).
