I lived there from 1999-2000 as a single female of 25. I found the convenience of the location a plus despite the strip joints and pawn shops, kinda liked the liquor store right there. I used to walk every day from the apartment to Home Depot and back, never approached by anyone for anything shady. When I was supposed to move in, my apartment wasn't going to be ready, they notified me the day before and I switched to a different unit that they painted, and did a complete turn between 5pm and 9am the next day, so I could still move in. They replaced my bathroom sink right after I moved in because it was gross. Any maintance request was usually taken care of within a couple of hours. I thought it was a great place to live. I used to do aerobics in my second floor apartment and never heard about it from my neighbor downstairs or management. I also never heard anything from upstairs or through the walls. I moved out after 1 year to buy a home in the suburbs. I've since moved to Colorado and am an Assistant Manager at an Apartment Community in Denver (I was teaching school when I lived there). Taking my apartment experience in Atlanta and my knowledge of the industry since I've moved to Denver, I believe this community was run quite well.
