Down the drain . . . .

Years at this apartment: 2000 - 2003
I moved to Lincoln Parc in 2000 and this complex was nicely maintained. I moved out of the complex in August 2003, but in the 3 years I lived there, I had slowly watched Lincoln Parc turn into a slum, mostly within the last 9 months of my residency. Whats more, one of the maintenance men was arrested for domestic violence and the management kept this shady character on their payroll anyway! The garbage collection bin overflowed nearly on a daily basis. Enforcement of housekeeping policies (written in lease) became lax and this consequently created an overall untidy appearance, especially with junked cars, messy balconies, and broken window shades/blinds or collapsing curtains. Safety was also apparently not a concern for management since broken lighting and stair railings went unrepaired for months (one missing stair railing had not been replaced since it broke in December 2002). This complex underwent an ownership change in 2002, giving way to apathetic staff and management. It has slid down a slick downward spiral since then. So, if you don't like unsavory maintenance men, sloppy grounds, ample stereo noise from loitering vehicles, and hate watching your apartment home going down the tubes, then don't move to Lincoln Parc! Also, be very cautious about the review written on 4/28/04. Sounds like Lincoln Parc personnel wrote it. Look elsewhere for a rental!
