I lived at lincoln parc from 2000 to 2004.
Within that period my apartment has been was broken into 3 times, and entered with a key 2 times. Each of these times was during the day between 9 am- 7 pm. Once the front door was kicked in, the 2 remaining times the patio door was kicked in. The last 2 times were in a 3 week period. Extra nails and screws were placed in the patio door, but was kicked in again. The day after the last time my neighbor behind me was broken into.
I have left that apt. And is now fighting with them to get out of my lease. I was last broken into on feb 4, moved out feb 9. I'm trying to get my rent pro-rated to get the money back for the remaineder of the month. This apt is NOT SAFE. The apt manager would not even give me a number to her manager to forward dissatification with apt. The apt manager told me they advise residence to get renters insurance, which i agree with. But it looks like they encourage that because they know your apt will probably be broken in to more than once.
