I moved into Rivercrest and was very surprised at the "homey" environment and the sense of community. Everyone was nice and would stop to talk. In the past 6 months Rivercrest has taken a noticeable turn for the worse. The apartments themselves are very old and need to be refurbished. Maintenance is only interested in putting a band-aid on the situation rather than fixing it. On my AC unit I currently have a plastic sign covering a hole in the unit held down with duct tape. Other pipes are covered with lots of duct tape instead of the usual sheet metal that should be there. In the past 2.5 weeks my apartment has been flooded with water 7 times. Maintenance simply did not know what they were doing and the mgmt refused to call in someone who did. They also never called someone to clean up the water mess until I called to complain about it each time. It also required many phone calls per day to make sure the problems were being taken care of. To add to it, I also have cockroaches coming in my house from outside. I was told that that was NORMAL. None of the doors match up to the threshholds very well so its always hot or cold (depending on the time of the year) plus bugs and dirt come in. My electric bills were horrible despite trying to keep it as low as possible. The final straw is the noisy gang of teenage kids that constantly hang around in the roadways at all times of the night unsupervised. I wouldnt recommend Rivercrest to anyone.
