SHOCKED about the ratings given on this site!

Wow, I'm shocked about the reviews I'm reading about Rivercrest on the Chattahoochee Apartments.
I've been living here since October 2003 and yes, I had a few roaches a few months after I moved in and yes, I was furious about that. But miraculously they've disappeared and I have not seen them again.
I live in a one bedroom apartment which is right near the main entrance and I absolutely love it.
Yes, there are times when both the maintenance staff and the management staff piss me off, but overrall, between 1-5, I would give them a 3.75. Everyone is attentive in both departments (management and maintenance) and there are times when they have their days, but come on, who doesn't'
I swear to you, I am not staff and would never want to be in their position. I've even complained to their regional district manager on a couple of occasions, but I've gotten results.
I actually love my apartment, I HATE the kitchen and the bathroom (because it is outdated and old looking) but I love the closet and bedroom. Sometimes, I wish the carpet was a different color, but overrall, I am very satisfied with this apartment, because no one lives over me or under me so I don't have to worry about direct noise. I have a new neighbor across from me and her dogs are noisy from time to time (poor things need to get out), but that's it. Nothing to really complain about at all.
Yes, I do hear noises that piss me off, but those noises usually come from guys driving their cars and playing music really loud enough to pop their own ear drums.
I think that home is what you make it, and some apartments might be in a bad area on the premises and thus they are affected by the loud noises and other disturbances that you read about in these ratings. For instance, if you live really close to the river, unfortunately, you are going to get the bugs and snakes etc... Yes, I overheard a woman recently talk to management about snakes at her doorstep. Wow, I was shocked about that, but anyway you have to judge for yourself by visiting the place before you actually move there. Don't go during the day only, drive through at night and during various hours throughout the day when people are actually home.
I will admit that I do hate the parking situation and I kind of wish they would assign parking spaces but all dreams don't always come true.
