I've lived at M Street for almost a year now. The only plus to this apartment complex is the very attentive staff. I had a problem with my sink disposal and it was fixed within 12 hours of notifying management (a lot to say for some apartment complexes). When I moved in during the Fall of 2006 it was a great mix of college students. I have noticed that it is progressively leaning toward being low income housing. What I moved in here for was a young atmosphere but I now come home to the ghetto. A guy who begs to wash your car for $20- and asks for you not to tell management he is using their freakin water.... Sunday pool parties full of people smoking weed, have their 12 children and grandparents running around the pool is enough for me to keep to myself on Sundays. I am tired of random people knocking on my door after they've had a case of beer by the pool to invite me to their "pool" party... more like an orgy involving 12 random thug humping strangers... I am no longer able to enjoy living here and instead scared to even come home at night. I had one break in and an attempted break in earlier this year. The management was smart enough to put metal over the windows although it still doesn't prevent a crack head from breaking it open. I also have done laundry in the morning on the weekends and been surprised to walk in with a homeless person sleeping in there. Since I moved in until 10 months later nobody has fixed the broken door on the laundry room. Overall, the place is pretty clean- but being a single white female living in this complex- I would defiantly warn others if they would like to keep to themselves. Train doesn't bother me as much anymore- although you will still hear the conductor blow his horn and try to "holla" at you getting out of your car in the parking lot. One thing I also do not like is there is no trash service. Getting into your car and driving to the trash dump is inconvenient and annoying. And if you have annoying loud neighbors who bring their family around for every social occasion ever... sounds like church at their house on Sunday...my neighbors below sit on their swing outside and chat at all hours of the day and night with their dog Justice who never shuts the ---- up..... Everyone is inconsiderate and doesnt really give a ----.... So take this place for what it is and we will all be happy.... You would think you were moving into a nice place because of the very nice leasing staff but they should be more selective in attracting the right type of people.... This place is ghetto..... Security guards are no where to be found at night...
