I love the location since it's very close to school and I can walk there. Sadly I have to move because my roommate graduated and is moving and I cannot afford the rate for a one bedroom ($920/month). A lot of people complain about the noise from the trains, but I figure you should be prepared for that since it is right by the train tracks. Maintenance service is impeccable. I never have to wait long for a service after I put in a request. Furthermore, they do a great job of upkeeping the grounds. All the facilities, incl laundry room, pool area, exercise room, study room, and clubhouse, are always spotless. Another great thing is that I have never had a serious insect or rodent problem. I had ants once but that was taken care of very quickly. I have friends that live in other apartments who have to do pest control weekly. I have never had that problem. There have been a lot of crime reports recently but I have never been affected. I think it's a matter of being cautious. Lock your doors and don't answer your door to strangers or beggers. People complain about safety but I have lived in some of the toughest places in Brooklyn and this does not compare. Bottom line - it's a cool place to live with great apartments in a great location. It's not the Ritz Carlton but it's a far cry from the projects.

So M Street is better than the worst of Brooklyn? That's comforting.
