not worth the price

Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2009
I've lived at M Street for a year and a half and I cannot wait for my lease to be up this summer. After I originally moved in I found many apartments at a much lower cost than M Street. At such a high cost, I'm frustrated that I'm having to deal with so much that I don't like about it.
It is noisy at all hours of the day and night. There is a train that runs right behind the complex, including in the middle of the night. It constantly makes banging and screeching noises whenever the train runs. The neighbors above us are extremely loud (I don't know why, but we can always hear them).
Parking is not assigned, so you may not be able to park near your apartment. The gates break frequently, and car break-ins happen pretty frequently as well.
The staff has not been particularly helpful. When I have gone in to ask questions about my utility bills (which are OUTRAGEOUS) they have been very impatient and did not help to answer my questions. What frustrates me the most is when I went to re-sign the lease, they raised the rent without notifying me! That is incredibly frustrating, and due to the dishonesty on their part I will NOT be renewing my lease again.
The apartments are very nice, and I enjoy my unit. Maintenance responds quickly to complaints.
All in all, the apartments are OK but they are DEFINITELY not worth the outrageous rent and bills.
