...wouldn't you at least see where your prospective unit is within the apartment complex before signing a lease' I keep reading people saying how "if you're lucky you'll be facing 285" or something similar...the only luck involved is what units are available, at which point you decide if that location is desirable. If not, go somewhere else. Also, if you're out of state, there's this thing called Mapquest which shows you where an address is located. At this point you can surmise that the complex sits right next to a major expressway AND train tracks, then you can request not to be next to them.
Re: Mgmt - they've been amazingly nice to me thus far and blow other complexes away. I understand that it's a new mgmt company, so that must explain the sudden change. Also, the inside of my apartment is really nice and any issues I noticed in my pre-lease signing check-out (which everyone should do, always) was addressed perfectly. I highly recommend this complex.
