I understand why someone who is mugged outside their home would be upset, but, hey, welcome to Atlanta. If you live here, you live in the 30307 zip code. Terrible situation, but you can't expect an apartment manager to be overly concerned. If the cops treat you the same way, that's a different story.

That aside, things are fine. It is an apartment. Yes, management can be a pain, but that is because they are apartment managers. They are probably looking for another job, most days of their life.

The place is pretty nice. I am lucky, because the neighbors close to me are nice. Yes, I hear some kids running around upstairs, but hey, they are children, and this is an apartment.
I actually do not believe that these things are that poorly constructed.
I've lived in apartments that are often falling apart after 2-3 years, and this place is not.

The decks are sturdy, and it's nice to be able to enjoy actually sitting outside at an apartment.

It's nice have trash chutes on each floor, and not having to carry your trash out to some dumpster.

It's great being able to take walks through Inman Park.
It's also nice having $700,000 homes on the same street, because people paying that much money, do not want to live in an unsafe environment, thus lending itself to a higher police presence, I'm sure.

Compare the crime activity at this place to something on, or just off of Peachtree, and I'm sure you'll find that crime here is much lower.

Yes, they should have more cameras - in the garage. In fact, I think it's pretty stupid that they have cameras overlooking their pool table, but not resident's cars. It can't be too much more expensive to add a few cameras in the parkig garage.

The maintenance men are very nice, and helpful, although they often sleep in on Saturday, and are late opening the pool. But, aside from that, they are usually very nice, in spite of the fact that there are your typical jerks who just like to dump their trash in the closet, and not place it down the chute, or carry it downstairs, thus leavig it for the maintenance men.

There is quite a bit of decent equipment in the gym, and there is a sauna, although I don't know that many people use it.

Agree somewhat on construction. These are newly built and everything works as well as can be expected, but the soundproofing does leave a LOT to be desired. Not much they can do now though.

I have to disagree with the rate of crime implication living off of Peachtree. I lived on Peachtree for 2 years and there were maybe two robberies the whole time I was there. At this place crime happens every week and the management is selective about reporting it. Also, the few security cameras that they have don't do any good given that the management is unwilling to review the footage after a crime occurs. I know that the managment cannot be responsible for the crimes that occur in the area. It is our choice to live in this part of town, but I would expect them to be vigilent about keeping security gates working.
