The apartments are TINY - the "corner shower" is quite uncomfortable as you are constantly banging your elbows on the sides. These places are not worth the rent they charge AT ALL. They try to sell you on the upgrades; the kitchens are quite pretty, but don't be fooled by the term "faux wood floors" - it's linoleum, folks. They are poorly insulated; every time our neighbor went up or downstairs, we knew. We also knew when he and his wife were having a disagreement because any noise above "indoor voice" level was very easily heard through the walls. The upstairs bedrooms get very hot in the summer, even with the vents downstairs shut and the A/C on. The police were out on at least 4 occasions during my stay; partying in units and in the parking lot, loud drunken arguments and something that led to one of the party-goers being arrested and having his car towed - at 4:00 a.m. on a Tuesday. Apparently, the complex has some sort of housing agreement with a nearby university and some of the students have no respect for the place being a community and not a wild on-campus dorm. Music blaring from cars driving through at all hours. I was very sad to hear about the sexual assault that happened on this property after I moved out. If the management company wants to get top dollar for their units, they need to hire a security enforcement officer. The place looks like a peaceful, cheerful and safe place by day, but things appear quite different once the sun sets. One of the office staff members needed a serious attitude adjustment. She acts like the complex is the ritziest, best-kept property in town and gets all swoony about the "brushed nickel" bathroom knobs and other ornamental stuff but seems blind to things such as paint overspray on the "faux wood" floors (by the property's painter, mind you) and the overall safety of the community. If you question the office about maintenance or safety, you should wear a parka and gloves to be best prepared for the chilly reception.

This is an unfair rating of the complex. You said that you moved out before the assault happened, which was almost a year ago. Why are you rating the place now? We have become a closer community and worked really hard to fight against future crime. We now have a neighborhood watch in place and there hasn't been any crime. I've never felt unsafe here. As for the staff acting like this place is the "ritziest, best-kept property", it's obvious that they have pride where they work. We need a little bit more of that these days!

This is a FORUM for sharing your individual, unique opinion of your residency. There is no time limit on when you rate the property after vacating, either. Your experience may differ from another persons and it's not up to you to decide whether or not a rating is "fair". It's an opinion, just like yours. I don't think you'd appreciate another member telling you that your rating was invalid because it differed from theirs. I'm happy things have turned around at this property and you are having a great experience.
