Having lived in the Fulton Cotton Mill for a year The Mattress Factory was a pleasant change. However, I'll start with the bad points first. The management are the type that will say/do anything to get you in and settled and then skirt all the issues and dodge your complaints thereafter: the same abandoned car has hogged a primo parking space for over 3 months despite several complaints; maintenance requests take long to finish and are usually done poorly the first time; the utilities have skyrocketed out of control without any reason ($20 gas bill is now around $75). My last complaint is with the front gate - which is in a constant state of disrepair, rarely closes at night, and when "closed" leaves a 18" wide gap (perfect fot trespassers to squeez through). There have also been 2 major car incidents in just the last week: one was broken into and the other was stolen. While the parking is horrible most nights (especially weekends), the grounds are well-kept and the layout of the property is really innovative. The fixtures are nice and they've stepped up from the average with hardwoods & stainless appliances in Phase II. I really dig the interior of my loft with its curved walls and smart layout. The roof deck is awesome and the landscaping of the center courtyard is beautiful. All-in-all the the place is actually quite fine but I'd check out Braden Fellman's Ice House Lofts in Decatur first.

P.s. the salad dressing smell is actually nice. Smells delicious every night ;)
